Kaiden and I had our first look. It felt sacred to do it together.
He took his time turning the pages. He read every word, paused, and gazed at the images. Was that me when I was little? he said. I nodded in agreement. His bubbly face, with eyes wide open said it all.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kaiden enlisted as your average audacious toddler. He had a cape and a plan. Blowing bubbles became the cheap thrill that made life feel less chaotic and freer. After being isolated in our apartment, going outside for adventure walks became the spark of joy that cradled us.
The book is not only a throwback to the pandemic, but a loving reminder of what happens when we choose courage over fear. It’s a slice of life story from the eyes of the most innocent that brave the world with curious possibility.
Biggest Rainbows in the Sky is for all the little dreamers and the people that celebrate them. The power of bubbles is evident in their colorful design and transcendent fluidity. Bubbles float and soar high — we can too.
On this freedom day, Juneteenth 2025, I’m celebrating becoming an author! I tell my stories, our stories, to rise above who and what dare tries to silence us. Joy is a weapon that’s always lasted the test of time.
Thank you to the ancestors for fighting for me to become your wildest dreams. I’m living proof.
